Through our various workshops and professional development sessions, we ignite passion, motivation and drive in those who work with young people. We support people to nurture their positive, empathetic and compassionate mindset by reminding them of the value in their work and providing proven strategies to build upon their knowledge base, enabling them to positively support their students educational journey.
All workshops have been created to recognise the signs and symptoms and discuss what does and doesn’t work.
We ask that you put in writing what your expectations are and we will individualise the workshops to cater to your exact needs.
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
Let’s look at what ADHD looks like – hyperactivity and inattentiveness. Bring a case study of at least 1 of your students who has a diagnosis or that presents with ADHD and together we will look at strategies and suggestions that will help both you and your students . Of course privacy will be respected and names wont be mentioned.

Trauma Informed Teaching
Understanding the impact that trauma has on a person – especially a young person – is the first thing that we need to know to be able to help and support them in the classroom. We also look at how their presentation may affect you. We will discuss what to look for and what we can do to allow the student to feel safe in your classroom.
The Escalation Cycle
Recognising the signs before the crisis is the most important strategy to implement in order to avoid a crisis. Knowing what to do if the escalation increases is number 2 and finally, knowing what to do after the crisis – should it happen – will increase the likelihood of it not happening again. Have an incident in mind and we will break it down next to the escalation cycle and look at what we can do to keep ourselves calm and in control.

Applied Learning
What if paper and pen were banned? How would you assess your students?
In this workshop, participants will bring a resource that they would like to be more interesting, more hands on or more fun and we will look at ways to make it happen so that students who have a more applied learning style can achieve their potential.

We will also look at strategies that you can use in the classroom.

Anxiety
While anxiety and depression often go together they are two separate issues. When anxiety stops the student from performing at their best or even being unable to perform at all, the student can isolate and then this becomes an even bigger issue. In this workshop, we will look at the different types of anxiety, symptoms and ways to engage back into their school community with positive regard, empathy and compassion.
